Savannah Pope is a Los Angeles-based singer, songwriter, visual artist, and world-builder whose work lives at the intersection of art rock, cinematic pop, glam, cabaret, and performance art. With an opera-like voice, visceral songwriting, and a visual language as meticulously authored as her music, Pope creates songs that can feel like cathedrals one moment and confessions whispered in a messy dressing room the next. She began writing songs in her early teens as a way to survive and make sense of trauma. Pope initially imagined a life as a painter, but after leaving art school in a deep depression, friends brought her to an open mic simply to get her out of the house. Overwhelming anxiety pushed her onto the stage; she played one of her strange folk songs, felt the room answer, and was hooked. After several years fronting bands, she went solo to bring her music, lyrics, costumes, sets, and visual art together in one uncompromised universe. That universe first arrived at full scale with Pandemonium, her debut album and an accompanying sold-out, Gibson-sponsored release show. Pope went on to earn acclaim around SXSW, draw more than two million views across her visual content, and receive support from outlets including LADYGUNN, Earmilk, We Found New Music, Guitar Girl Magazine, Music Connection, and Luna Collective. Her latest era has sharpened both the beauty and brutality of that vision. “Terrible Thing,” a baroque, flamenco-tinged confessional, widened the world of Pandemonium while exploring feminine identity, repression, desire, and the tension between perception and truth. “Crazy On You,” released in April 2026 and created with Adam Gimenez, followed with something bolder, more sensual, and equally theatrical.
