DESCRIPTION Luke Hogfoss is an indie rock artist from Seattle who has released three albums and some singles. The most recent album ‘Paradise,’ tackles themes of utopia and dystopia A powerful sound, a distillation of influence and emotion. The songs of the band Faint Shape are formed of equal parts powerful and dexterous rhythms, sweetly expressed melodies and creative structures. Taking aspects of indie rock, shoegaze and dream pop and combining it into a whole, the band is a powerful and compelling statement, whilst remaining stripped-back with minimal instrumentation and vocals. Rachel Ewen is a singer, songwriter, and multi-instrumentalist born and raised in the Pacific Northwest. She has been performing in the Seattle music scene as a vocalist and keyboardist for nearly a decade and began releasing music under her name in 2023. Her strength as a vocalist is the anchor and the heart of her music, much of which is written acapella, often driving in her car. Rachel’s lyrics are thoughtful and honest, with a balance like the natural moodiness of the Pacific Northwest climate; radical hope, growth and recovery, with sorrow, loneliness, and grief. Rachel draws inspiration from a childhood of listening to the folk rock greats of the 60s and 70s, alongside 2000s pop icons. Blending jazz, pop, R&B, and indie rock musings, Rachel’s music can change genre track to track while maintaining a smooth and groovy feel.
