DESCRIPTION Lone Quail writes songs about lost places, stray chases, and the scrappy resolve it takes to move forward even when the path is unclear. While traces of doo-wop, experimental pop, and desert-swept psychedelia wend their way through the music at times, her core inspiration is shaped by iconic roots artists such as Townes Van Zandt, Emmylou Harris, Neil Young, Freddy Fender, and Vic Chesnutt. She also draws heavily from the pioneers of the early alt-country scene, like Cowboy Junkies, Freakwater, and Giant Sand, lending her songs a quiet edginess and subterranean power. LQ was raised in the woods of northern New Hampshire, made homes for herself all over the world, and now holes up in Santa Barbara, California. ___________________________________________________________ Robert Deeble is an American singer-songwriter based in Seattle. His recordings have been noted for their orchestrated arrangements, a subtle, minimalist style of production, and lyrical content. Robert's latest release The Space Between Us was produced by Ric Hordinski (Over The Rhine) and features bassist Viktor Krauss (Allison Krauss / Robert Plant), and drummer Lacey Brown (Damien Jurado) alongside lush string arrangements that highlight Deeble's lyrical prowess. Robert's discography goes back to 1994 with his first album Days Like These which included folk heroine Victoria Williams. Subsequent recordings included industry veterans Rachel Blumberg (The Decemberists), Jen Wood (The Postal Service) and Stephen Hodges (Tom Waits / Mike Watt). He received critical acclaim for his 1998 release Earthside Down and again with Heart Like Feathers (2012) with regular rotation on Sirus XM. His 2018 release BELOVED was a personal account of the adoption of his daughter.
