DESCRIPTION Scott Standley’s debut solo album VICTORIA spans indie, western, Neo-soul and folk for a new blend of "cosmic southern" music. His 2nd album TIDELAND COUNTRY DEMONS, released this May, takes it all and infuses it with a rage at the powers wrecking the world. He is currently gigging solo with foot on kick drum, hands on guitar and singing his lil heart out. Scott is an Austin-born singer, songwriter and multi-instrumentalist. After playing in rock groups Jungleset and ChooChoo for years, as well as performing at ACL Fest 2019 and 2022 with percussion group Resonate, he launched a solo project of experimental and choral-focused music. Scott’s songs reflect the Southern music that he grew up hearing in the house (Bonnie Raitt, Crosby Stills and Nash, choral hymns and folk standards) but also his favorite current artists (Brittany Howard, Frank Ocean, Perfume Genius, Sufjan Stevens). Scott currently lives and works as an oyster farmer on the Olympic Peninsula with his wife while they slowly figure out how to build creative destinations and community in rural places.
